Lamoine Zone

Another first thermal at the Lamoine Zone takes me from the power lines to around 8,000 feet.. Not as defined as the previous day, the thermals start out as broken and elusive.. Infrequent dust devil activity calls for a shorter task... The "soarness" I feel from yesterday's flight also hamper my enthusiasm for a longer triangle..

Foster Creek

Looking north, up the Foster Creek drainage, towards Bridgeport...

20 Miles To Go

Got low in Mansfield and then rode a nice thermal from the east end of town to 9,500 feet slightly northeast of the city... Thanks to the gaggle of small hawks who showed me where the thermal was.. The Junkyard was calling my name at this point..

Lake Chelan

After getting down to 4,000 feet at the powerlines, Lake Chelan and the Junkyard look pretty good again.. McNiel Canyon was going up all along the rim...
