Goat Mountain, seen on the left, rises above Alta Coulee.. Southwest wind seemed to boil off of the local terrain keeping my attention focused on staying right-side-up...

Alta Lake

Approaching Alta Lake from the south.. Alta Lake State Park is situated at the north end of the lake.. The golf course is immediately north of the park.. The Methow Valley stretches off to the northwest while part of Pateros can be seen in the far right side of the picture.

Decent landing next to the 9th fairway drew the attention of a few golfers.. After a successfully touch down I politely asked if I could play through.. There are not too many places in Eastern Washington that you can land next to the clubhouse and buy a cold beer after a fun hang gliding flight..!
