Against the Clouds..

Another great spring soaring day at Blanchard Hill..

After getting behind the launch window's time factor, a weak scratching climb-out with a gaggle of young bald guys turned into a big smooth elevator ride to around thirty two hundred feet.. 

I hooked up with Werner and we took the trip to a cool spot above the base of the clouds.. Werner's WW Falcon looks good contrasted with the milky white background..

Got to Go There..

Once we got up to the good stuff, it was an easy glide across the gap to the north.. I left Blanchard at thirty two hundred feet and arrived at Chuckanut with exactly the same altitude..

Dave, Brian and Scott were already there but it looked like they had gotten much higher..

Puff-Balls..

From just shy of Larabie State Park, the turn-less glide back to the flats above the town of Blanchard was another altitude sparing trip that ended in an excellent set of clouds that just begged to be explored..

I obliged them by finding just the right gaps and crevasses to fly through..  ark

Textures of Light and Sky..

Even at midday the almost musical effect of light and sky plays a dramatic symphony with their fresh spring instruments.. This particular movement always brings a smile to my face; simple minds like simple things..

I will always wish for eternal spring..
