Last Flight Last Season..

This shot was taken last season.. My last flight of last season I think.. Judging from the faded grayscale image, my memory of that day has faded as well..

But, after a full winter schedule of mountain bike riding (I ride an awesome Santa Cruz SuperLight), getting some Moyes LightSpeed airtime was a welcome change..

This morning at just a bit before ten o'clock, I did a weather check in Seattle.. The day didn't really look that good.. But it had been too long since my last flight, so I made the choice to give it a go..

I made up some lame excuse at work and I was on the road to meet Scott and Share at the Tiger LZ..

I think it was just before two o'clock when we bailed into light overcast conditions..

Threatening Sky..

In the distant southern sky there was this huge area of over-development.. I think that the massive cloud had swallowed entire communities in the vicinity of Mount Rainier..

I was glad it was them and not me..

Mostly Cloudy..

It takes some amount of re-acquaintance with the weather idiots in this area.. I thought this was a three strikes and you're out state.. Since they blew it both Saturday and Sunday their credibility remains, as always, "in question"..

If the sun had not come out way late in the afternoon today, I'm pretty sure that the count would have been 0 and 3..

 

The Beginning of the End..

After having the air to myself for almost two hours (Scott got up and out to the North Ridge), The jelly bags started their traditional late arriving crowd routine..

After a couple of tandem peanut butter and jelly launches, I made my way down to less than perfect arrival in the landing area..

No damage though.. Good to go..
