No Beach'n..

Dave and I took one look at the top of The Butte and the wind that showed signs of dumping down onto the lake and made the easy decision to check out the Mansfield Airport for flying the DoodleBugs..

The wind at the airport wasn't too bad so we tossed our stuff in the dirt and got ready to fly.. You got to love the deluxe accommodations..

Moses Coulee..

After an adequate launch into a slight crosswind, I made my way south under a nice looking set of clouds.. I plowed into the lift at a little over a thousand feet above the flats..

I dropped off the throttle and climbed easily to nine thousand feet.. Excellent lift but incredibly cold..

Coulee City..?

I'm still a bit inexperienced flying the DBug so I spent the time well.. Practiced thermalling at various bank angles air-starts..

The more time I get in the Bug the more comfortable I feel flying it.. The DoodleBug is opening a whole new set of possibilities..

Coulee City and Banks Lake is somewhere out there..

Where's Waldo..

If you look real close, I think you can see Waldo.. Nope, maybe it's Sadam Been Laden..

Either way it was so cool that all I could do was laugh.. But, freezing my @$$ off wasn't very funny after all..
