Late Summer Cloudbase..

After flying Chelan for the summer, cloudbase on the west side seemed a bit low.. No matter though, it's always great to get it any way you can get it..

Darren and I were fortunate to choose a decent day to skip school.. We launched at 2:00 and climbed easily in the humid afternoon air.. The recent precipitation took a while to evaporate I guess..

Southwest..

The day was overdeveloping quickly so we made a hasty egress out towards the southwest.. The sun was still dominating the greenery so the air was still friendly..

I was only getting to a little over four thousand but I had a smile on my face..

East..

This image was supposed to show the golden fields of summer.. For some reason though, that golden hue turned out to be a shade of green..

What do you expect for the great pacific northwest..? It's always green here..

A worthwhile afternoon.. Any day of flying is better than any day at work..

[ps.. finally got comfortable enough in my new harness to start-up Fly2K again.. new toys can be such a pain..!]
