Tom and the Atos..

Couldn't handle the sunshine today.. Left work early to get out and enjoy it.. Blazed down to Tiger with no plan in mind...

Met up with Tom at the gate on the way to the top.. And, after a brief discussion surrounding the fact that we were both screwed for a ride back to the top, we then trundled our way up the road to north launch..

A fresh breeze straight-in at launch made the first few turns fairly nice; especially since the jelly-hordes had not yet infested the sky..

Grape Jelly..

There was plenty of sky to be had.. Except for the unnerving laminar cycles, it was no problem to stay up..

The only thing that was a little bit annoying was the all too familiar tendency for the jelly to sneak around the back side of the thermal..

I really enjoy bailing out of a circle to let some bone head waltz straight through the airspace with an oblivious grin on his face.. I've learned to expect it and I am rarely disappointed..

Peek at Poo-Poo..

Good lift out front allowed us to occasionally fly out and away from Poo-Poo Point.. We launched at around 2:00 when there was quite a lot of wind.. Later, as I was on my way home, it appeared that the breeze had died down a bit..

I did get an opportunity to get back up from below with the help of a young bald guy.. Someday I may learn to fly half as well as the likes of him..

Issaquah..

Getting beat- up for an hour and a half is my idea of a good time.. Punchy air, the impending horde-factor and a forty minute hike back to the top all conspired to solidify my decision to land..

Not too bad for a half-a-day of vacation..
