Clear and Rainier..

Left work early hoping to find cloud development at Tiger today.. I was "soar-ly" disappointed in the lack of clouds; but, there was plenty of thermal activity to keep my interest..

Arrived early enough to beat the crowds.. Jammed my stuff together and bailed just as the jelly hordes began their ritual schooling dance on launch..

North Ridge..

The thermals were quite tight and localized in just a few places.. There was a significant north component that, given the weak altitude gains, made crossing to the north ridge problematic..

There appeared to be a nasty rotor area approaching the ridge so my frequent forays in that direction were cut short by some unintended but cool knuckle crunching dives toward the trees..

Poo-Poo Point..

My theory is, where there's a couple, the rest will soon follow.. Sure enough, the launch area soon became it's usual zoo-like atmosphere..

I don't mind dashing at the hill with a few jelly bags here and there.. I do mind however, getting dashed toward the hill by a constant barrage of pilots who apparently don't realize that a circling glider tends to remain circling; unless acted upon by an outside jelly force..!
