Late Winter Sun..

Elected to commit to my first afternoon-off for flying today.. There were some high clouds drifting through the region during the early hours; but the day looked like it still had potential..

Jimmy and Mike were set-up with the logistics; so I left work early and jammed down to Tiger Mountain for the goods.. And "the goods" were solidly in place as the high clouds dissipated rapidly..

The Emperor Has No Clothes..

Mount Si had shed his kingly robes of frozen crystal that had vividly highlighted his flanks during last weeks flight.. With his crown still in place however, he and his Cascade throne stood-out against the snow covered peaks in the background..

Smooth climbs out on the North Ridge made for a pleasant afternoon..

Issaquah From 5,000 Feet..

Once I made the connection to the cloud that had been pulsing over the towers, excellent thermal lift carried myself and others to around 5,200 feet; just 500' below cloudbase

It was cold, but nowhere near as cold as my last flight at Tiger.. At least I could still move my fingers well enough to take a few pictures..

Dots In The Sky..

There were a few dots to connect.. Mike D. connected a few and flew to <sp?>Marymore </sp?>Park.. Sounded like it was no problem to get there from here.. 

Spring is so close that I can almost taste it..
