Daze of Haze..

The predicted huge wind was not too far off today.. I heard that there were gusts near 60 mph in the straits so it seemed like a good bet that the wind was blowing at Blanchard today..

Well, guess what.. It was blowing pretty good; almost too good..

On the Drive..

I launched into a lull cycle (20 mph) and immediately climbed to around 3,000 feet.. I turned towards Chuckanut Mountain and gained another 600 feet while penetrating an upper level north component..

It was no easy task to fly up Chuckanut but getting back to Blanchard Hill was a breeze..

Shades of Fall..

The forest tells of the coming season; the leaves have begun their ritual dance of color..

Today's freshening breeze served to encourage many of them to cover the trails through the woods..  I got a first hand impression of those covered trails as I hiked back up the hill to retrieve my truck..

Classic Blanchard..

While the "Great Salt Nuclei of the Sea" obscured the atmosphere somewhat, the visuals were still a privilege to experience..

..To reach the sky.. Ah.. To reach the sky once again.. ..Such a gift..
