Incredible scenery highlights an incredible day at Rampart Ridge..

Self launched into smooth air and climbed immediately towards the first set of cliffs.. I had to mill around a bit but the good lift managed to find me in the right place..

My little Buddy..

There was a pair of small hawks that insisted on following me around for much of the first part of the flight.. The most curious of the two spent a great deal of time staying right on my tail.. 

The thermals were big and smooth so it was easy to watch the birds and fly at the same time..

The Great Wall..

The clouds were forming right over the middle of Gold Creek Valley.. Every cloud cycle I made a dash out to find it..

From the center of the valley, the view back towards the wall was spectacular..

Liquid Crystal..

Above the wall, the Rampart Lakes area was glowing with the pristine blue of alpine water..

I heard that there was a mountain goat prancing along the cliffs this afternoon.. I didn't have the privilege of making his acquaintance though; I was looking for Bigfoot at the time..

Clouds Everywhere..

Today was one of the most enjoyable days I've ever flown here.. Great launch conditions.. Great flying conditions.. And best of all, great landing conditions..
