RAD Rod Designs..

Called Rod at around 1:30 to try and convince him that an after work outing was in order today.. It  was not hard to convince him at all.. Especially since he's got this great new wing to fly..!

We launched into glass smooth ridge lift and floated around waiting for a few fat thermals to circle in.. The clouds in the big mountains looked great.. But, there were no clouds near us by the time we launched; 4:45..

Cliff Diving..

We both waited for a nice light little cycle and then we bailed off of the cliff.. Here's RAD Rod hunkering down in the sheltered niche waiting for the right time to jump..

It was a real treat flying this late in the evening.. Not quite the same day as we had last Saturday.. But, we'll take it..!

Lake Cavanaugh..

There was only a slight west breeze showing on the lake this afternoon.. I felt fortunate to have been able to climb up high enough to peer over the back and catch a glimpse of the lake..

It's not often that we fly ridge lift here at Frailey Mountain.. It's usually ass kicking lee side thermals.. Not for the faint of heart..

Last Stop, Ebby Hill..

After floating around the hill for about an hour.. We cruised across the valley to check out the near corner of Ebby Hill.. I blundered into a decent little thermal and managed to gain enough to hang out for a while.. My truck was still on top so I had a good reason to go out and land.. Is there ever really a good reason to land..?
