That One Thermal

A potentially dangerous squall demanded a hasty retreat from the launch this afternoon.. We had waited through one dowsing and the next one loomed heavy on the horizon..

I lucked into a good piece of drifting scrap that took me from right about here to a couple hundred feet over the top..

After the little bonus bubble, I had this vision of catching another one in the back bowl.. The view was nice..

But all there was, was nothing..

And that's all there was..

All Squall..

The sky was closing in quickly.. It's probably a good thing that the flight was short for me.. I didn't want to find out how poorly my glider flies when it's wet..
