Young, Bald and Beautiful..

I can't recall a more turbulent flight at Frailey Mountain.. There were decent moments but those decencies were punctuated with severe indecent exits from lift to hell-for-sink.. The potential for getting inverted was ever present..

Surprisingly, this youngster seemed to ignore the trash.. My theory was that he just didn't know any better..

Great Clouds..

The wind direction must have been exactly bad for the hill today.. I think that there also may have been a shear between 3,000-3,500 feet. That 500 foot layer was where the most unruly air resided..

The surface winds were SW but if you asked me, the upper winds were NE..! Bad combination..

Eagle Camouflage..

I snapped this off just before the young bald circled right through me.. Remember, he's the one who didn't know any better.. I just love being ignored by soaring birds..

We shared the trash for a few circles and then he turned north across the lake.. Maybe he knew something after all..

Where We Weren't..

I heard that flying was good everywhere today.. We somehow managed to blunder into the blender..

We gave it up after a little more than an hour on the puree setting..
