Over the Back..

Once again, the time to launch was 1:00 pm... Groveled towards the east for quite some time before a decent cycle got me up and over the back..

The recent dusting of the white stuff added just that little touch of winter to remind us that spring is not yet here..

Down the Ridge..

I've always been intrigued with the big mountains to the north.. It seems like there is always a great looking set of clouds back there..

Problem is though, there are no possible landing areas at all.. Even the glass sailplanes don't venture into that area..

East to Darrington..

The back side of the hill remained free from the sun.. Yesterday's snowfall clings to the shaded forest..

There was decent lift behind the hill..

Bald Mountain..

The large rock point in the center of the picture dominates the Pilchuck Creek drainage area..

I've heard rumor that there is a potential landing area just out in front of that rock formation.. Might be worth a drive out there to see it  first hand before flying back there..
