Cliff Close Up..

When we arrived at the LZ this morning, the wind was out of the north at a significant enough velocity that we elected to drive to Saddle Mountain.. We got as far as Ellensburg before the strong west wind got us turned back toward  Rampart.. 

Good thing we came back.. Rampart was happening again today.... area

Lindberg and LiteSpeed..

Good climbs today.. The lift seemed to be better out away from the hill most of the time..

Dave said he got to around 6,400 feet today and that climb was back over the hill.. It was an interesting day..

Rock Cliff Castle..

The development set in for a while this afternoon.. The shaded rock cliff area looked cool from this vantage point...

After a slow start, the day really got going about an hour into the flight..

Tom Johns..

Tom found a nice thermal area out over the valley.. He and I made a brief foray towards Kendall Peak..

The landing area was no piece of cake today.. A small price to pay for such a spectacular place to fly..
