Looking Back at Launch..

Small turn-out for the first day of the fly-in.. Conditions looked good from the start and we were not disappointed.. 

We launched into smooth air and immediately climbed into the sky.. area

Dark Sky but Good Lift..

Great thermals to cloudbase reward the Rampart faithful few.. The weatherman may overstated the possibility of rain and thunderstorms today....

For those who took the chance, the trip into the mountains was well worth the effort..

Above the Wall..

We spent most of the day back at the cliffs.. Brief breaks of sunshine were immediately followed by a trip to altitude..

There were some extended periods of overcast that resulted in light lift cycles but sinking out was not in the cards..

The Lake is Down..

Plenty of room to land on the lakebed.. Just pick a spot anywhere you like..

Rampart Fly-In will continue tomorrow... Be there...!
