Going to the First Cliff..

Dave and I launched at 2:50 and climbed in smooth lift to around 500 feet over take-off.. We easily hopped down the ridge to the first set of rock cliffs.. 

The sky was mostly occluded with a layer of evaporating moisture but the lift was decent in spite of the cloud cover .. area

Looking Back Towards Launch..

Small but smooth 400 fpm all the way to cloudbase..

As you can see, cloudbase was just at the top of the rock face..

Dancing in the mist.. And I don't even dance..

Up Close and Personal..

It was pretty cool looking into Eastern Washington through the small openings in the clouds..

It appeared to me that the flying may have been pretty good over there.. Flying was pretty good here too..

Where else can you enjoy the awesome beauty of the mountains and then make it home in time for dinner..

Rampart Ridge is truly a special place..
