Channeled Scablands..

Southeast of Creston, I was struck with the odd beauty of desolation.. The late afternoon sun lit up the small lakes with a crystalline fire..

Crossing the low lying scablands between Creston and Davenport was no problem..

Davenport..

There's no stopping now.. Davenport is around the 85 mile mark and with Reardon in sight, 15 miles ahead, its crunch time..

Another street to jump and the hundred miler is there for the taking....

Hawk Creek..

Looking north from the Davenport area, Hawk Creek empties into the Columbia.. A fitting name for a creek out here..

Because of the haze in the air, you may not be able to clearly see the Spokane River as to adds it's liquid wealth to Franklin D. Roosevelt Lake..

Reardon..

You can almost see a big "100 Mile Post" in the center of town.. Maybe I was a little hypoxic when I took this shot..

From here it was an easy cruise to Deep Creek, another 8 miles down the road..
