Blown by the Wind..

After a good launch from "The-Green-Monster", Mike Daily, Dave Little and I climbed above and downwind from the Butte..

While Mike and Dave got a bit higher, I choose to dive across the gorge to a glider that I saw circling in McNeil Canyon..

Unorganized lift got me the altitude I needed to move inland.. area

East from The Intersection..

Muddled my way past Mud Springs to the Intersection at Highway 172.. Found solid lift that took me up near the clouds.. The lift at altitude was slow so never made cloudbase..

Over Peaceful Valley..

Approximately six miles north of Mansfield, there is a pleasant looking place called Peaceful Valley.. You can just see part of the greenery at the bottom of the picture..

Highway 17 and an accompanying cloudstreet are shown here stretching toward the Grand Coulee area..

You can really get a feel for the magnitude of this place..
