The Chelan Airport lies immediately south of the protruding rock formation in the middle of the orchards..

Good lift and a haze free sky provide a brief glimpse deep into the heart of Lake Chelan as it snakes its way into the heart of the Lake Chelan Sawtooth Wilderness Area..

Wells Dam and Lake Pateros..

Great climb out of the McNeil Canyon area today.. Seems like when there's good cloud development the canyon works.. When it's a blue thermal day, the odds are not as good..

The clouds and the canyon were working this week..

I'm afraid that I don't really know where I was when I took this picture.. That's not uncommon for me though..

I wonder if there is a GPS integrated digital camera available... Then I'd have to get a GPS too I guess..

I think the small lake in the center left is Penny Lake..

Northwest, Up the Methow Valley..

High over the Middle Foster Creek and Penny Lake area, you can see the Methow Valley stretching into the North Cascades..

I'd like to fly up that way again someday..
