The Butte from Lamoine..

Launched lee-side on Ants-in-the-Pants.. Climbed to 7,400 feet in a nasty lee-side thermal..

Crossed right away and promptly sunk-out near Lamoine..

Rode an interesting little dust snake from about 200 feet agl to a little bit above 7,000 MSL..

West Towards H₂Oville..

Flew decent lift towards Farmer.. Closely spaced thermal areas made the trip relatively uneventful..

Climbs were at about 700 fpm and the tops were getting higher as the day heated up..

South, into Moses Coulee..

The drift was towards the south.. Climbs were now topping out at a few hundred feet above 8,000..

Excellent thermal strength made for a confident foray into Moses Coulee..

Look Closely..

Got to 9,500 feet immediately south of Rim Rock Meadows.. Look closely and you'll see a sailplane in the center of the photo..

Can you see The Butte off in the distance..? I can..
