Take Cover..! Almost..

It looked to me like this pilot had to make a great effort to keep from diving straight into the water from around 70 feet.. He demonstrated an almost vertical dive into the drink..

With the pilot briefly out of control, the camera crew showed great restraint by not running for cover..

The demonstration ended in a perfect landing..

Good Landing

Most of the competitors showed good judgment during approach to the beach..

Close Encounter..

Nice position for the camera.. 

I'll be looking for the finished product on Discovery.. The story was that the film crew will be covering speed gliding for the rest of the year..

Debriefing..

After a quick flight to the beach, the competitors spent a great amount of time celebrating their flights.. 

The film crew for The Discovery Channel got plenty of footage during this activity.. I hope that most of those antics end up on the cutting room floor..
