Tom Johns dives through the finish gate.. Check out the body position... Pulled in to the max..

With a little practice under his belt,  I'd put my money on Tom any day of the week..

A little high but the judges scored favorably on this run..

Comfort at speed is a key characteristic for speed gliding pilots..

 

Seedwings Sensor..

Most of the competitors were flying baby Stealth gliders.. This pilot's choice was the classic Sensor..

Perfect position to make the gate with a couple of feet to spare..

Wayno..

I missed Wayno at the finish gate but here he is being filmed for The Discovery Channel..

It appeared that the only rigid wing entry did quite well against the flex wing crowd..
