Out Over Town..

After the Butte was temporarily shaded due to brief over-development, a sunny area over the City of Chelan provided a large, smooth 200 fpm thermal..

Myself and a small red tail hawk circled up slowly to around 6,500 feet right over downtown ..

This shot was an experiment.. Taken while banked-up at around 40 degrees..

I think it depicts the pilot's perspective when thermal flying in strong lift..
