Methow Valley..

I think that today may have been a good day to fly up the Methow Valley.. The winds were predominantly east as the day progressed..

Wells Dam..

Looking north from the Mud Springs area..

Wells Dam and Pateros are well known landmarks on the route to the north..

The Methow valley stretches off the the northwest just beyond Goat Mountain and Alta Lake..

Chelan Airport..

The Chelan Airport is on the plateau at the center of the picture..

Lake Chelan winds it's way more than 50 miles into the Cascades.. From this vantage point you can see the middle of the lake as she snakes deep into the Chelan Mountains..

Final Glide to Goal..

After a cold day above the freezing level, the long glide to the beach was a welcome loss of altitude.. 

Great spring conditions for the Beach'n.. My camera was on the fritz yesterday.. Sorry, no Beach'n, Day 1 pictures..
