First Thermal on the Rim..

Launched between the rocks and took a great cycle to 8,500 feet, near cloudbase, on the Butte..

Crossed right away and found good lift right on the point above Beebe Bridge..

Took this shot looking back at Lake Chelan from around 8,000 feet..

East to Mansfield..

Muddled about for a while and got up pretty good at Jensen's Farm..

Things started to get pretty cold above 9,000 feet.. I thought my water supply had run dry but apparently water freezes above the freezing level..! Duh..

Mansfield is off in the distance..

Approaching the Intersection..

There were plenty of dots to connect this afternoon.. A few dust devils also but since we had plenty of altitude we flew the sky instead of the ground..

Bump-in-the-Road ahead, and you can clearly see Mansfield beyond..

Back to Chelan..

Got to 10,500 feet near Mansfield.. The cold could best be described as "brutal"..

My Camel-Back's water hose was frozen solid.. My mustache was a frozen mess as well..
