East, Into the Teeth of The Beast..

I chose a particularly bad time to fall off the hill in a tail-wind.. I thought the glider was never going to fly..! 

Once I got things sorted out the beast from the east was a nasty lee- side snake that bit with every circle..

Persistent Inversion Layer..

Once again the inversion settled in very quickly.. Check out the well defined contrasting sky above and below the layer..

Is it just my imagination, or has anyone else noticed the recurring inversions this spring..?

Today's layer was just above 4,000 feet.. 

Mount Baker..

The awesome cumulus formations that started the day dried up quickly as the dry east wind moved into the region..

The weather man has no clue this time of year..

Southeast..

Dangerous launch conditions and wild turbulence made for an interesting day today..

I was happy to have survived it..
