Youngsters Take Pity

After a particularly scary launch into strong air, this pair of young bald eagles appeared to take pity on my soul... They lead me across the gap to Chuckanut Mountain..

Close Encounters

One shy child seemed to hang back while this friendly youngster toyed with me all the way across..

I got numerous eye-to-eye contacts.. If eagles can smile, I'm sure I saw this one smiling.. Maybe he was laughing at me..!

Mister friendly just wanted to play.. He flew circles around me time after time..

Shortly after this shot he dove down to play with a mature bald... I guess he got bored with my big lumbering flying style..

I can't help it...! I'm just a human...!

Back to the Hill

In retrospect, I probably should not have launched.. Jimmy and Darren were the smart ones...

The air was great but hardly worth the risk of the dangerous launch conditions..
