Fire on Blanchard Hill..?

The day starts with an interesting sidebar; fire trucks on launch..

Apparently the Alger Fire Department received a call indicating that there was a fire on Blanchard Hill.. The report stated that there were "large trees burning".. My feeling was that it would be difficult to start a fire if you were trying.. The mist rising through the trees was the culprit..

On Colony Hill

Quick trip to 3,000 feet and it's off to Colony Hill..

A nice cloudstreet set up stretching all the way to Mt Vernon.. Decent lift under the clouds took me out to the Bow-Edison road at cloudbase..

Bow-Edison Road

South of the Bow-Edison road the overcast moved in and blocked the sun..

Since it was still early in the flight I elected to hang around and see what the sun's future would hold..

East, up the Skagit Valley..

Over the Bow-Edison road looking east, up the Skagit River Valley..

Nice flat bottomed clouds kept it up for quite a while...
