Frailey Mountain

You can't really tell from this picture but there was three inches of fresh snow on Frailey today. Punched our way to the top and set-up in the clouds.

Cloudbase quickly raised and we were in business. 

East to Darrington

The lift was centered over the valley. Pretty typical for a north wind day at Frailey.

I had to launch in a light down-wind and glide out into the valley to find a thermal. I thought I was finished until I blundered into a decent thermal that took me from the depths of despair, to the sky.

Turn to Final

Dave turns to final approach. I was too busy taking the picture to warn him that the wind had switched..

No matter, he pulled it off OK I guess..

Lite in the Sky

Just a cool picture of a new Moyes LiteSpeed 5. I want mine soon..! My LiteSpeed 4 should be here in mid-April.

I hope there are some thermals left by then... Ha ha... April is a perfect time to get a new glider.. All of the swamp LZ's should be dry by then..
